Colorado Springs City Council is scheduled to introduce a resolution at its Oct. 12 work session to sell the former Meadows Park Community Center to CRE Holdings LLC for $700,000. The resolution describes the price as below fair market value.

The proposed sale covers the former center at 1939 and 1943 S. El Paso Avenue. The resolution says the city determined in September 2025 that the center’s operations should close and the property was no longer needed for city purposes.

The resolution describes the sale as providing a community benefit to Stratton Meadows residents and Colorado Springs citizens, citing public health, access to services and quality of life. It does not specify a particular project or service CRE Holdings must provide.

If approved, the resolution would authorize the city’s Real Estate Services Manager to complete the disposition documents and obtain the mayor’s signature on a quitclaim deed.
