Palmer Lake Town Attorney James Godbold told trustees Sept. 24 that the town had been named in a new lawsuit under Colorado’s Open Records Act and warned the town was nearing its insurance coverage limits, according to the Board’s minutes.

Godbold said the town was coordinating with the Colorado Intergovernmental Risk Sharing Agency to appoint legal counsel. He also urged trustees to account for related expenses in upcoming budget work.

The minutes did not specify the coverage limit or how much coverage remained.
