Palmer Lake reported $19,872 in Roads capital spending through Aug. 31, about 1% of the $1.73 million budgeted for the year. Total Roads Department spending was $258,639, or 11% of its $2.26 million annual budget, in the town’s unaudited January–August financial report.

The town’s adopted 2026 budget includes $1.402 million for Spruce Mountain Road improvements, $120,000 for road and drainage work that includes Aurelia and the High Street area, and $190,050 for Highway 105 sidewalk design.

The Highway 105 sidewalk project was still in design in September. A town administrator’s Sept. 4 memo describes proposed curb, gutter and pedestrian bump-outs along the east side of Highway 105, from the baseball field to the Tri-Lakes building. The town and Colorado Department of Transportation were still working through Americans with Disabilities Act access points, and the memo said revisions were likely. It set a year-end planning target to preserve grant funding; the town would then seek construction funding, and the memo did not anticipate construction in 2027. A later engineering invoice documents design work, including drainage and grading plans and coordination with the state.

Separately, a September Public Works report says the department [continued road maintenance](https://palmerlakeco.api.civicclerk.com/v1/Meetings/GetAttachmentFile(fileId=1140).
