Monument council to consider police fee schedule for Oct. 1
The proposed schedule includes charges for record checks, sex-offender registration, vehicle identification verification, notary services and crime-analysis requests.
The Monument Town Council is scheduled to consider Resolution No. 72-2026 on Sept. 21. If approved, the revised Police Department fee schedule would take effect Oct. 1, 2026. The resolution identifies the proposed action.

The schedule also lists police notary fees of $10 for one page or $15 for two or more pages, along with a $5 fee for a summons copy.
Police Chief Patrick Regan’s memo to the council says staff reviewed Colorado statutory requirements affecting criminal-justice records and service fees and compared the proposed charges with fees assessed by neighboring and similarly situated law-enforcement agencies. The resolution says the town and Willdan Financial Services calculated fully burdened service rates.
