Teller County commissioners are scheduled to consider increasing the maximum amount for the jail’s underground-repair contract from $40,000 to $100,000 on Oct. 8. The proposed change would raise the ceiling by $60,000 and extend the contract through June 30, 2027; it does not establish that the full amount will be spent.

The Oct. 8 commissioners agenda lists consideration of ratifying Change Order No. 1 with Mid Colorado Construction LLP as a business item. The meeting is scheduled for 10 a.m., though the agenda says item times may vary.

The proposed change order lists four additions: a Nyloplast contraband trap, reinstallation of a grinder, P-traps for the gym and public restroom, and replacement of a 90-degree bend in the public restroom. The agenda schedules consideration; it does not record a decision.
