Castle Rock will hold a neighborhood meeting Thursday, Nov. 5, on a proposal to demolish buildings at 404 Perry Street—including one built before 1945—and replace them with surface parking for Courtyard at Castle Rock, Town Manager David Corliss’s Nov. 3 report says. The meeting is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. at Town Hall.

The report says the owner of Courtyard at Castle Rock bought the property and intends the parking for the business’s tenants and customers. The proposal is for discussion; the report does not describe an approved demolition.

The town’s Cultural Resource Surveys index lists a survey entry for 404 Perry Street. The town describes these surveys as inventories used to assess a property’s historic significance and integrity; an index entry alone does not establish landmark designation.
