Woodland Park’s Historical Preservation Committee asked its council liaison Nov. 3 to find out whether city staff could help pursue an Environmental Protection Agency brownfields assessment grant for the city-owned Roberts House. The application deadline is Jan. 21, 2027.
A committee member said the community-wide Brownfields grant could provide up to $500,000. The EPA lists the deadline and describes assessment-grant activities, which include brownfields inventories, environmental assessments, planning and community outreach. Committee members said assessment and planning work could help determine the property’s future.
The liaison said he would ask city staff whether they could help. The committee did not decide whether to apply. The city owns the Roberts House at 750 County Road 21 and designated it a local historic landmark in 2023, under an ordinance describing the property.
